What is Sugru®?
Well first it’s glue. Quite extraordinary kind of glue. When you first open it, Sugru® has a consistency of play dough so you form it into any shape you want. Later, within 24 hours it will harden into a solid but still flexible rubber that can provide plenty of support for MicroBots even at crazy angles or upside down.
If there’s any Sugru® left, you can get very creative or fix that thing!
How to use Sugru® with MicroBot Push?
- Mould Sugru® into the shape you want.
- Attach on MicroBot so that it covers as much MicroBot’s surface area as possible. This will prevent MicroBot from oscillating too much when it’s pushing.
- Place MicroBot with Sugru on your device or appliance and let it stay untouched for 24 hours.
- Use via MicroBot Push app or automate workflows with Prota!
Easily remove to re-use MicroBots in another scenario
Sugru®, unfortunately, cannot be re-used but it doesn’t leave any marks or stains once its gone. To remove Sugru® you’ll need a paper knife or letter opener. Use the knife to cut Sugru® in half and separate MicroBot from the device that it was used to automate. Use a clean soft cloth to remove remaining Sugru both from MicroBot and the device.
